Is there a general HTML tag for displaying all types of media like video, audio and PDF files?

As others have mentioned, there are MANY tools available that can do this, from open source & free to commercial. However, the first question you need to answer is WHY are you doing this - what are you looking to do with the HTML? Do you simply want the (styled) content? Do you need a "pixel perfect" rendering or would you rather have something that reflows? Do you plan to process the output in a secondary application or is it strictly for viewing. Each of those answers will help you select what tool(s) are accepted for the purpose.

Type on PDF: All You Need to Know

Once you have that information you can then begin exploring. Let me give you a few examples of tools that can (and will) do this: — Google Web Font Preview, from font maker by Google, is a free tool that will take your font.css to an output that is usable with HTML. It is completely usable without any additional tools. — Google Web Font Generator can be extremely helpful as it will allow you to create (and render) your font to a (standard) CSS style in less than 5 minutes. — Web fonts from Font Squirrel, Font Squirrel is a free tool for generating fonts that are scalable. I cannot emphasize how important this is. Use this tool (fonts.google.com) to see how your own fonts look scaled up, or to see how they would look scaled down. — Google Web Font Explorer will allow you to view all the available.
